Welcome!
Let’s make it a habit.

Some see a home, you see a blank canvas...

If you’ve ever flipped a house, stripped a chair, or grabbed a funky lamp from a flea market, you believe in redesign. And if you love getting more for less so you can change your space more often, then The Redesign Habit™ is the place for you.

The Redesign Habit is based on inexpensive interior design, often called green or eco-friendly design. Please visit often. Learn to save money. Help the planet. And love where you live®.

As the daughter of a carpenter who designed furniture and a mother who rearranged our living room as Dean Martin crooned through the stereo, my interest in home interiors is equal parts nature and nurture. My simple Greek and Italian upbringing taught me to be frugal, and over the years I’ve learned how to create beautiful spaces on a modest budget.

I’ve been inspired by studying at the Design Institute of San Diego, earning color and redesign certifications at QC Design School, and collecting ideas from design shows, websites, magazines and friends. I hope this website inspires you. I would love to show you how to transform your home, on your budget, and positively impact your life.

All about the “RE”

“Redesign combines a lot of terrific “re” words: reuse, repurpose, recycle, recover, refinish, repair, and my favorite, reimagine.”

Your home should be much more than just a comfortable, functional space. It should be your favorite spot on earth. The best place to just be you.

Good habits are the best!

The Redesign Habit is all about you and me, and the community we build together. Beyond sharing my ideas and experience, I want to learn from you. It’s all about collaboration and friendship among people passionate about redesign.

Some might consider our passion an addiction, but that’s okay. We’ll be our own support group. My name is Michele. Thanks for joining me. Let's make it a habit!
