BLOG INTERRUPTED…

Okay, so what happens when you decide to remodel your kitchen and two bathrooms, have a wedding shower coming up in a few weeks for your daughter, have a friend coming to stay a few days after said shower, your other daughter moving back home, and……no good place for either said guest or returning child?  Well, I can tell you what happens!  Chaos….pure chaos….Okay so maybe I’m being a little over-dramatic but still.  It’s been a rough few weeks with a few more yet to come!

You knew I was doing the kitchen and bathrooms.  I wrote a short blog about that about a week or so ago.  But also in that same time frame I realized that our exercise room now needs to be a guest room that transitions back into our daughter’s room in just a month or so from now.  That shouldn’t be all that difficult except that this means creating an area for a “new exercise room”, painting and putting in new carpeting in the guest room soon to be my daughter’s room again, and painting my office.  Why my office?  Well, why not?  If I’m finally getting around to painting one of the bedrooms, I might as well take advantage of the mess and paint both.

Of course, like most things, nothing is EVER easy.  We still have some plumbing to take care of in the bathrooms and painting the two bedrooms meant finding some way to empty them so I can actually paint them and get the new flooring in.  So, as we speak I have gift wrapping supplies and wedding décor spread across my dining room.  I decided to move my office into my daughter’s bedroom, so I painted that first and moved everything over last night.  Yes, yesterday was a long day of painting all day and relocating and setting up my office in the evening.  The other bedroom is on the list for tomorrow with new flooring soon after.

In my world, it seems that when it rains, it pours!  I love decorating…it’s my passion.  I love painting, I really do, but the combination of all these things has caused some other things to move to the back burner…like my regular blogs and updates….but I promise that by next week, things should be back to normal.  Well, as normal as they ever get in this house!  I have several blogs that share the process of the kitchen and bath renovations, plus a cute little trunk makeover I did.  I just have to have the time to sit down and get it all down on paper with pics!

This post was really just to let you know that I’m still here, although going slightly crazy at this point, and I will be back!!!

Now, what will you do next to love where you live?
