Contemporary Kitchen

If you like the clean look and feel of contemporary design but don’t like how cold it can sometimes feel, consider adding wood tones and color to warm it up. In this design, I loved bringing in blue on the walls and area rug to help add character and interest. The warm wood tones of the floor, dining set, and barstools at the island not only complement the blue with their orange undertones but they add variety and help balance the starkness of the black and white cabinets, tiles, and fixtures. This kitchen illustrates how mixing styles can give you exactly the look and feel you want.
