Take Your Bathroom from Tired to Refreshed with 5 Easy, Affordable Tips!

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!  The first blog of the new year is all about a quick fix for a bathroom that maybe has seen better days.  Whether it’s your primary bath, your main bath, or even just your powder room, this can be a space that we put off updating because we think it’s too hard, involved, or expensive.  Well, I’m here to give you five easy and affordable changes that you can make to any bath that will guarantee a new look and feel to what often becomes an overlooked space.

New hardware can add drama and interest to your bath!

1.  Change out the hardware. This can mean anything from towel rods to handles on your cabinet doors to the toilet paper holder. This is a great way to upgrade your bathroom and make it feel more elegant.

Rugs and towels not only add visual interest, they will warm up your bath!

2.  Change out the towels and rugs. You’d be surprised how impactful it can be to introduce a different color or pattern. Best of all, no painting required, and it won’t break the bank. Online options for hardware, towels and rugs can offer further savings.

A new shower curtain will not only change the look but can help tie the whole look of your “new bath” together!

3.  Change out that tired shower curtain. Again, a great way to freshen your space. Coordinate the curtain with towels and rugs to step things up a notch.

Accessories are the jewelry of any room and the bath is no different. They can help define the look and if you do it right, will add functionality as well!

4.  Add accessories. Whether you go with something big like wall art or small like candles, adding an interesting focal point can make a space feel new again. Pro tip: check the rest of your house and your storage for an item you already have for the price of free.

Can’t afford new cabinetry? No problem! Paint them. Maybe something dramatic, and suddenly what was an eyesore, now becomes a beautiful focal point!

5.  Finally, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t suggest painting something. Either the whole room or maybe just your cabinets. I will preach the gospel of paint and color as long as I can. It’s my favorite way to update. I’ll paint practically anything, any time, again and again to infinity. But that’s just me. But it could be you, too!

Okay, I’ve shared five simple, fun, affordable ways to update your bathroom. Choose any combination of these tips and give that room new life.
