A Trip to Japan!

Konnichiwa! Passports? Check. Plenty of yen? Check. House/dog sitters? Check. Ready for the trip of a lifetime? Check. We are about to embark on an adventure in Japan and we’re so excited. We planned to go a few years ago, but “Rona” forced us to reschedule several times. It will be an overseas affair with many, but not all, members of our family joining the journey.

This trip has been in the planning stages for over a year and it’s finally go time. Our plans include visiting a variety of locations to get a feel for life where our youngest daughter and husband live. We have heard nothing but great things from friends and family who have visited the land of the rising sun.

As a pleasant surprise we received a free upgrade to first class (thank you, Delta). That will be a first for us, and we look forward to being pampered at umpteen thousand feet in the air – I try not to think about that part of it.

While I am out seeing new lands, there will be no new blogs. However, I anticipate having a LOT to share when I get home – including blogs and videos about the homes and architecture we encounter.  If you haven’t already checked out my YouTube channel, you’ll want to do that – now, to view the existing library, and later to share in my adventure. Simply hit the tube and search for “The Redesign Habit.”

Please stay tuned and we’ll see you on the other side.

Now, what will you do next to love where you live?

Please feel free to reach out to us at The Redesign Habit and ask questions or simply share a project that you are working on or have completed.

As the daughter of a carpenter who designed and built furniture and a mother who rearranged our living room every few months as Dean Martin crooned through the stereo, my interest in home interiors is equal parts nature and nurture.

My goal is to help you understand how much your home’s visual environment can positively impact your life and how budget-friendly it can be to transform your home. My mission to help you love where you live®.
